Obituary of John Callis Jordan
Please share a memory of John to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
John C. Jordan, age 81 of Pikeville, died Monday, December 17, 2012. He was of the Mormon faith. John loved woodworking and tinkering with lawn mowers.
Dad loved his children and especially his grandchildren, sadly he never met his
only great granddaughter. He loved the Atlanta Braves, wrestling, tending to his
garden and especially woodworking. Dad handmade wooden rocking horses for each of
his grandchildren so they would all have memories of how much he loved each one of
them. He taught everyone how to drive whether it was a car or a lawnmower and
Peyton was usually in his lap for most mower rides. Dad enjoyed spending time with
his family, especially during the holidays and on birthdays. His favorite holiday
was Christmas and he was always so excited on Christmas morning. He was a good man
who worked his entire life. Dad never really retired, he got bored easily so he
created many new projects including a huge garden and numerous woodworking projects
to keep himself busy. We miss you and we love you Dad. Now you can retire and just watch over all of us now. Rest In Peace.
