Obituary of Kathleen Martha Boothroyd

Kathleen "Kate" Boothroyd, age 74, of Dunlap, TN, passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at Parkridge Medical Center. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Dunlap as well as serving with the First Baptist Ladies Mission Group. She also worked for the mortgage department at a major bank in New Jersey, taught english, was a substitute teacher, and also a waitress. She loved her dogs as well as reading, cooking, and drawing. She is preceded in death by her son, David Boothroyd; and parents, Mary Ruth and Ernest Distasio.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Edward "Ed" Boothroyd; two sons, James (Christina) Boothroyd of Palm Bay, FL; and Daniel (Kimberly) Boothroyd of Madisonville, TN; six grandsons, Caleb, Christian, Jameson, Matthew, Sean, and Joseph.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Joshua Coffman officiating. Burial will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
