Obituary of William Doyle Pendergrass

William Doyle Pendergrass, age 83, of Pikeville, TN, passed away into the presence of God on Friday, November 8, 2024, at his home, surrounded by his family. Doyle was a member of West End Church of God. He drove a truck his whole life and worked at TVA for 12 years. He worked hard all his life. He was an avid golfer and TN Vols fan. He traveled to 48 states. He loved showing horses and won world champion in spotted walking horses in 2007. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his sons and grandchildren. Doyle was preceded in death by his son, Jeff Pendergrass; parents, Creed and Edith Pendergrass; siblings, Katherine Webb, Donald Pendergrass, Carolyn Trotter, Freddy Pendergrass and Brenda Anderson. Doyle is survived by his wife of 63 years, Linda Pendergrass of Pikeville, TN; sons, Mike (Tommye) Pendergrass, Todd (Sherry) Pendergrass, all of Pikeville, TN, Scott Pendergrass and Eric Penny, of Soddy Daisy, TN; grandchildren, Anthony, Shane, Dakota, Annie, Tristan, Sarah and Braydon; great-grandchildren, Lilly, Ryder, Creed, Maddox, Tommye Love, Walker and Reign; siblings, Wanda Terry of VA, Roy (Carol) Pendergrass of Pikeville, TN, Debbie (Roseanne) Pendergrass of Crossville, Gary Pendergrass of Pikeville and Chester (Shirley) Pendergrass of Pikeville; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 11, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. CDT in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Danny Lee officiating. Burial will be in Pendergrass Cemetery.
