Obituary of Jeff Pendergrass

Jeffrey Lynn (Jeff) Pendergrass, age 56, of Pikeville, TN, passed away into the presence of God on Thursday, October 10, 2024, surrounded by his family. Jeff was born on April 14, 1968, the middle of three brothers, to Doyle and Linda Pendergrass. He attended BCHS and joined the Navy in August, 1989, doing his training in Great Lakes, IL. After his service, Jeff was a carpenter and builder. Later, he went on to be a floral designer at Pikeville Flower Shop, working side by side with his mother. A member of West End Church of God, Jeff cherished his faith deeply. He thoroughly enjoyed fishing, Tennessee Vols football games, family gatherings, his mom's cooking and Sunday soul dinners. Jeff was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Bill and Agnas (Moody) Humble; paternal grandparents, Creed and Edith Pendergrass; and special brother, Wes Crawford. He is survived by his parents, Doyle and Linda Pendergrass; daughter, Annie (Matthew) Pendergrass Sizemore; precious grandson, Lucas Walker; brothers, Mike (Tommye) Pendergrass, Todd (Sherry) Pendergrass and Scott Pendergrass and Eric Penney; sister, Molly Upchurch Dishman; one special nephew, Tristan S. Pendergrass; and several other nieces and nephews; and a host of friends and extended family. Funeral services will be held Sunday, October 13, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. CDT in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Danny Lee officiating. Burial will be in Pendergrass Cemetery.
