Ronald Clay "Snoot" Long, age 76, of Dunlap, TN, passed away Saturday, August 3, 2024 at his home after a lengthy health battle. He was a member of Flat Mountain Baptist Church in Dunlap, TN. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He worked as a truck driver, diesel mechanic and heavy equipment operator. Snoot's passions were riding motorcycles, Top Fuel Harley drag racing, spending time on the farm working with heavy equipment and hanging out with friends and family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clay Long and Clora Hitchcock Long. He is survived by his sisters, Lola Mae Boston and Anna Faye Heard of Dunlap, TN, Kathy Johnson and Tonya Smith of Virginia, Pamella (Jason) Havron of Chattanooga, TN; brother, Don Long of Chattanooga, TN; six nephews; five nieces; several great nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held Saturday, August 10 at 11:00 a.m. CDT at Camp Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Sequatchie County Cancer Support Network, PO Box 306, Dunlap, TN 37327. Arrangements by Standefer-Reed Funeral Home, 50 May Road, Dunlap, TN. Family will receive friends Friday 2:00-8:00 p.m. CDT.
