Gregory "Red" Rains, age 62, of the Lusk community, died Monday, July 29, 2024, at his home. He was a member of Bethel Church of Christ and Lusk Volunteer Fire Department. He was retired from Herman Grant Company. He loved to hunt, fish and the outdoors. He was preceded in death by his father, Joe S. Rains; and grandparents, Alfred and Maude Rains and Ottis and Clemmie McDowell. He is survived by his mother, Vera Rains; brother, Jeff (Lesa) Rains; niece, Tayla Rains, all of the Lusk community; and several more relatives and friends. Services will be held Friday, August 2, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. CDT in the funeral home chapel with Min. T.A. Smith officiating. Burial will be in Collier Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com. Arrangements are by Putnam-Reed Funeral Home, 1171 Main Street, Pikeville, TN. Visitation will be held Thursday, August 1, 2024 from 3:00 - 8:00 p.m. CDT and Friday, August 2, 2024 from 9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. CDT.
