Obituary of William Clifford Phillips Jr

On Saturday, July 27, 2024, William (Bill) Clifford Phillips II, was called home to be with our Lord. Bill passed surrounded by friends and doing what he loved. He was born to William Clifford Phillips and Rosa Lee Jackson on November 12, 1963. Bill was a native or as many would say "a legend" of Dunlap, TN. Bill was a master tradesman, welder, and fabricator. Bill Phillips the welder, not the Sheriff. He made a life long career skillfully repairing and creating with his hands. Bill was a larger than life son, brother, father, grandfather and friend to usually everyone that crossed his path. He shared a steady, strong and consistent love for those around him. He did not know a stranger and would give the shirt off his back even if you were. Bill Phillips was not a perfect man, but he loved perfectly. He left shoes that will be impossible to fill, yet his legacy will be carried on by "His Phillips Boys" and remembered lastingly by his beloved family and all his many friends that he loved and meant so much to. Be more like Bill. He was preceded in death by his father, William Clifford Phillips. He is survived by his mother, Rosa Lee Jackson; children, Curtis "Curt" (Leslee) Phillips, Clifford (Chasity) Phillips, and last but not the least or smallest, Elijah Phillips; sisters, four-eyed monkey butt, Angie (Kevin) Frazier and sweet baby sister, Nicole (Marlin) Johnson; grandchildren, Mason, Miles, and Walker Ray; nephew, William Johnson; niece, Caroline Johnson; Aunt Jo; and to many cousins to name. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 1, at 12:00 p.m. CDT in the funeral home chapel. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com.
