Obituary of Charles Steven Clifton

Charles "Steven" Clifton, age 70, of Dunlap, TN, passed away Sunday, July 28, 2024 at his home. He was a member of Hopewell Road Baptist Church. He was also a member of the American Academy of Physicians Assistant, Tennessee Academy of Physicians Assistant, and the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians. Steve served in the the United States Army from 1972-1975 then he continued his service in the Army reserves from 1975-1978 when he was honorable discharged. He served in Germany, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Kuwait, and Desert Storm. Steve was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Barker Clifton; father, Charles M. Clifton. He is survived by his wife, Robin Clifton; mother, Helen Clifton; brother, Glenn (Charlene) Clifton; niece, Sydney Holland; bonus children, Robbie (Lisa) Kyle, and April (Scott) Odum; bonus grandchildren, Lauren Kyle, Justin Kyle, Cody Allen, Amber (Hunter) Lee; great-grandson, Milo Kyle. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, July 31 at 1:00 p.m. CDT at Sequatchie County Memorial Gardens with Military Honors provided by Sequatchie Valley Honor Guard. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Sequatchie County Cancer Support Network. Arrangements by Standefer-Reed Funeral Home, 50 May Road, Dunlap, TN. No Visitation.
