Rev. Samuel C. Youngblood, age 84, of Talbott, TN passed away in Dunlap, TN at home on Tuesday, June 25, 2024. Samuel served as a Church of God minister for 57 years as well as serving on the Church of God State Council, Evangelism Board, & State Youth Board. He participated in many mission trips to Brazil, Germany, Guyana, Trinidad, and Tobago. Samuel was also an adjunct professor at Lee University. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Maxine Youngblood; daughter, Tamra Youngblood; son-in-law, Clint Walker. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Ruth Youngblood; daughter, Melody Walker, Dunlap, TN ; four sons, Rick Youngblood, Murfreesboro, TN, Artie (Shelia) Youngblood, Dunlap, TN, James (Rachel) Youngblood, White Pine, TN, and Jesse (Melissa) Youngblood, Morristown, TN; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister, Rebekah (Wayne) McLain, Jacksonville, FL; two brothers, Douglas (Shirley) Youngblood, Louisville, KY and John (Deborah) Youngblood, Celebration, FL; several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends Friday, June 28, 2024 from 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm EDT with service to follow at 6:00 pm EDT at Cedar Hill Church of God, Talbott, TN. Graveside services will be held Saturday, June 29, 2024 at 12:00 pm EDT at Camp Cemetery with Rev. Joe Cole officiating. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com.
