Frances Cagle, age 99, of Pikeville, TN, died Tuesday, May 7, 2024. She was a member of First Southern Baptist Church. She served at various churches in the community for 44 years alongside her late husband, Rev. Leonard Cagle. She lived for the joy of opening her home to her family every Sunday for dinner. She had an open door policy – all were welcome. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Leonard Cagle; parents, Henry Stillwell and Bertha Rankin; brothers, Newell Stillwell, Harry Lee Rankin and J.W. Rankin. She is survived by her sons, Brince (Phyllis) Cagle of Pikeville, Edward L. (Loretta) Cagle of Crossville and Phillip "Winky" (Sheila) Cagle of Pikeville; daughter, Vivian (Bill) Buford of Tazwell, TN; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 16 great-great grandchildren; siblings, Joe Stillwell of McMinnville, TN; Rachel Rankin of Pikeville, TN, James Charles Rankin of Johnson City, TN, Loretta (Wendell) Myers of Pikeville, TN, Tommy (Jean) Rankin of Pikeville, TN and Wanda Miller of McMinnville, TN; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held Friday, May 10, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. CDT in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Tom Hassler and Bro. Ronny Colvard officiating. Burial will be in Humble Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com. Arrangements are by Putnam-Reed Funeral Home, 1171 Main Street, Pikeville, TN. Visitation will be held Thursday, May 9, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. CDT.
