Lorene Williams, age 88, of Dunlap, TN, passed away Friday, March 8, 2024 at Roane Medical Center. She was a member of Dunlap First Baptist Church where she served as church secretary for many years. Lorene was a member of the American Business Women's Association. She was retired from Provident Insurance and the Sequatchie-Dunlap Chamber of Commerce. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hervey M. and Ethel Teeters Williams; brothers, Lewis and James Williams; sisters, Jessie Ricketts and Betty Boles; great-nephew, Bryan Branson.
She is survived by nephews, Ron (Terri) Ricketts and Mike (Cynthia) Houser; nieces, Lynn (Mike) Humphreys and Karen Clark; great-nephews, Roger (Mindy) Clark, Jordan (Rheanne) Humphreys; great-nieces, Autumn (Josh) Mullins, Laura Ricketts and Leslie (Josh) Smith; great-great-nephews and nieces, Cailynn, Shelley, Tessa Mullins, Lance and Hayden Humphreys, Sam Tyner and Bryson Smith; special friends, Anna Faye Heard, Shirley Wilson, Brenda Treadway, and Tommy Boles; cousins and friends.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, March 12 at 2:30 p.m. CDT in Mansfield Cemetery with Rev. Josh Coffman officiating. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com. In lieu of flowers the family request contributions be made to Dunlap First Baptist Church building fund or Sequatchie County Cancer Support Network. Arrangements by Standefer-Reed Funeral Home, 50 May Road, Dunlap. Family will receive friends Tuesday 12:00-2:00 p.m. CDT.
