Obituary of Stevie Grayson Bickford

Stevie Grayson Bickford, of Pikeville, TN, age 63, passed from this life on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, with his family by his side, to live on in heaven with his Lord and Savior. Stevie was born on October 10, 1960, to the late Eugene Bickford and Pauline Brock Bickford. Stevie worked at the prison for 34 years, during which time he was a correctional officer and later received his teaching license and taught carpentry until his retirement. Stevie was a member of Mt. Crest Church of God of Prophecy where he was superintendent for several years. He loved his family dearly and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and using his carpentry skills. Also, preceding him in death is baby sister, Carolyn; brother, Raymond; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, James H. and Louise VanWinkle. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 44 years, Sharon VanWinkle Bickford; son, Steven Cody Bickford, both of Pikeville; brother, James Thomas (Betty) Bickford of Sparta, TN; sisters, Phyllis Measles of Spencer, TN and Marguerite Snow of Crossville, TN; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; along with a host of other family and friends. Services will be held Saturday, March 2, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. CST in the funeral home chapel Bro. Anthony Sullivan officiating. Burial will be in Myers Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 1, 2024 from 4:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. CST and Saturday, March 2, 2024 from 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. CST.
