Charles M. Hixson, age 89, of Hixson, TN, formerly of Dunlap passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at Morning Pointe Assisted Living. He was a member of Hixson United Methodist Church and Valley Brook Golf and Country Club. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Margie Hixson; brother, Harland Hixson.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Norma Lee Hixson; son, Michael C. Hixson, Dunlap; daughter, Cindy (Doug) Narramore Neely, Blairsville, GA; grandchildren, Amber Stephenson, Andrea and Taylor (April) Neely, and Amanda Fine; great-grandchildren, Jayden, Braiden, Katy, M.J., and Nolan; sister-in-law, Mary Frances Hixson; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 21 at 1:00 p.m. CST in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Welch Chapel Cemetery Fund. Online condolences can be made to www.reedfamilyfh.com. Arrangements by Standefer-Reed Funeral Home, 50 May Road, Dunlap, TN. Family will receive friends Wednesday 11:00 a.m. until service.
