Joyce Evelyn Moody Jackson, age 86, of Ypsilanti, Michigan, formerly of Pikeville, TN, passed away on Friday, December 15, 2023, in Ypsilanti, MI. She retired from the University of Michigan over 20 years ago. Joyce was a strong woman of faith in the Lord.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Beecher and Edith Moody of Pikeville, TN; son, Jeff Jackson of Ann Arbor, MI; brothers, Charles Moody of Ypsilanti, MI, Jack (Linda) of Tennessee and Bud (Helen) of Pikeville, TN; sisters, Betty Jo Lloyd and Katherine Moody of Chattanooga, TN.
She is survived by her son, Carl (Michelle) Jackson of Chattanooga, TN; brothers, Greer (Lillie) Moody and Sam (Sherry) Moody of Ringgold, GA; grandchildren, Katie, Cara and Kayla Jackson of MI and Jacob and Joshua Jackson of TN; sister-in-law, Iwilla Moody of Ypsilanti, MI; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 21, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. CST in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Iron Hill Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com. Arrangements are by Putnam-Reed Funeral Home, 1171 Main Street, Pikeville, TN. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 21, 2023 from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. CST.
