Obituary of WIlliam Henry Rodgers II

William "Bill" Henry Rodgers II, 92, of Signal Mountain, TN, passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2023. He was born February 2, 1931, grew up in Pikeville, TN, and graduated from Bledsoe County High School in 1949. He majored in accounting at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville where he held an honorary membership to Beta Alpha Psi. He later became a CPA and was a partner in Hazlett, Lewis and Bieter; Rodgers, Morris, Millsaps and Underwood; and retired from Deloitte in Chattanooga. Bill was a longtime member of the Signal Mountain Golf Club and Chattanooga Sports Barn. He was a master gardener, sportsman and dedicated UT Vol. He loved his family, friends, music, nature and animals. Bill was preceded in death by his father and mother, Leland N. and Inez E. Rodgers, of Pikeville, TN. He is survived by his beloved wife, Martha R. Rodgers; children Elizabeth (Chuck) Rogers, Mimi Rodgers, Lynn Thompson and Bill (Susan) Rodgers; grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Bill was a member of the Signal Crest United Methodist Church.
