Colt Blankenship, age 23, of Pikeville, TN, passed away Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at his home.
Colt attended Pitts Gap Church of God. He loves music and played the piano and drums. Colt was a 2019 graduate of Bledsoe County High School, where he was on the archery team and scored the highest score in the state tournament during his junior and senior year. He was also a member of the Beta Club. During his senior year, Colt was voted superlative for technology. He loved animals, especially his dogs, Bach and Kira, as well as his horse, Gray Matter. Colt loved his red GT Mustang. He also enjoyed playing video games.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Clarence and Thelma Lee Swanner, and James Earl and Lorene Blankenship.
He is survived by his daughter, McKenna Celeste Blankenship; fiancé, Ashley Walker; parents, James Howard and Bonnie L. Blankenship; God-parents, Dwight and Lisa Blankenship, all of Pikeville; several aunts, uncles and cousins, and a host of friends.
A celebration of Colt's life will be held Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. CST in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Blankenship Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com. Arrangements are by Putnam-Reed Funeral Home, 1171 Main Street, Pikeville, TN. The family will receive friends, Tuesday, November 28, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday, November 29, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. CST.
