Obituary of Ronnie Dale Bowman

Ronnie Bowman, age 71, of Dunlap, TN, passed away on August 23, 2023 while riding his motorcycle. Ronnie was born January 8th, 1952 in Dunlap Tennessee, which he returned to after 19 years in Kansas. Ronnie married his wife in June of 1982, Julie Helmholtz where they had met in Hixon, TN. His life was full of love and his children; his daughter, Laura Cobb, and sons, Jeffery, Anthony and Kevin Bowman. He was a maintenance man, bartender, and truck driver to name a few where he loved to face new challenges. Worked with and retired from Kansas Building and Trades. In his free time he enjoyed kayaking, hunting for arrowheads, going to the river, riding his motorcycle, and most of all loving his family especially his 3 grandchildren who all thought he was Santa Claus. He was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Bowman, father, Carol Bowman, and sister, Phyliss Bowman. Ronnie Bowman is survived by his wife, daughter, 3 sons, sister, Marilyn Bowman, brother, Terry Bowman, nieces, Scottie Bowman, Angela Holland, Michelle Johnson, Tina Adams, nephews, Brad Adams, Steve Lawson, 2 granddaughters, Kinsey Melton, Alexis Bowman, grandson, Aiden Melton, and expecting a first great grandchild in January of 2024. There will be a Celebration of Life at Ronnie's home in Dunlap, TN on September 2nd starting at noon and will end until the "Cows Come Home".
