Lorene (Rennie) Goins Townsend, age 91, of Pikeville, TN, died Thursday, August 3, 2023, at home.
She worshiped with the Church of Christ at Pikeville. She loved sending and receiving cards for birthdays, anniversaries, get well and encouragement.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Fleeta Logan Goins; three husbands, Manuel Britt, Benton Panter and Ora M. Townsend; two sisters, Margaret Smith and Gloria Byrd; and son-in-laws, Bud Branum and Lynn Price.
Left behind to cherish her memory are five children, Tony (Melissa) Britt, Manuel (Sharon) Britt, Shelia Price, all of Pikeville, Sandra (Jr.) Bowers, Soddy Daisy and Rita (Ronnie) Smith, Lyons, GA; special friend, Jay Sullivan; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren; special niece, Beverly Manus; her church family; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 6, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. CDT in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Tony Britt officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com. Arrangements are by Putnam-Reed Funeral Home, 1171 Main Street, Pikeville, TN. Visitation will be held Saturday, August 5, 2023 from 11:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m. CDT and Sunday, August 6, 2023 from 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. CDT.
