Obituary of Dana Lee Smith

Dana Lee Smith, age 52, of Pikeville, TN, originally from Chicago, IL, passed away Saturday, July 15, 2023, at his home, surrounded by family. Dana was born on August 10, 1970 to Ronald L. Smith and Carol Schulke-Smith of Chicago, IL. Dana married Belinda Emory Smith on April 7, 2001, in their home in Eden, NC. They moved to Colorado to start a new chapter in their lives and were blessed with two children. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. He devoted his life to those he loved. He loved to travel and went to Frankfurt, Germany, Castle Rock, Germany, Mexico, Canada and all around the US. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He liked riding his motorcycle and was an avid skydiver. He is preceded in death by his father, Ron Smith; mother, Carol Schulke Smith; and younger brother, Scott Smith. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Belinda Emory Smith of Pikeville; four children, Danielle Smith of Kernersville, NC, Corey Smith of Kernersville, NC, Matthew S. Smith of Pikeville, TN and Levi W. Smith of Pikeville, TN; brother, Shayne Smith of Kodak, TN; two nephews, Tyler and Mason Smith; sister-in-law, Summer Smith McNally of CO; and Tracie Smith-Smagnr, mother of Danielle and Corey.
