Obituary of Freddy Allen Pendergrass

Freddy Allen Pendergrass, age 76, of Crossville, TN, died Saturday, February 4, 2023, at his home.
He was a member of Crossville Church of Christ. He was a craftsman, working with wood and enjoyed bird watching. He was a United States Veteran, serving in the Navy during Vietnam, and the Army National Guard during Desert Storm. He loved farming and farmed on and off his whole life. He also drove a truck for many years and painted cars at Nissan for 10 years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jean “Cookie” Pendergrass; granddaughter, Taylor Pendergrass; parents, Arley Creed and Edith Kathryn Pendergrass; siblings, Carolyn Trotter, Kathryn Webb, Brenda Anderson and Donald Pendergrass.
He is survived by his children, Jodie Holt of Crossville, Brandon (Lanean) Pendergrass of Pikeville, Matt (Tiffany) Schoenig and Nicole (Steve) Pristas; grandchildren, Jalen Holt, Garet Holt, Jonah Holt, Isaac Pendergrass, Tristan Pendergrass, Taylor Schoenig and Kara Pristas; sisters, Wanda (Fred) Terry of VA, Deborah Pendergrass of Crossville and a very special friend, Rosanne; brothers, Doyle (Linda) Pendergrass of Pikeville, Roy (Carol) Pendergrass of Pikeville, Gary Pendergrass of Crossville, Chester (Shirley) Pendergrass of Pikeville; sister-in-law, Barb (Duffy) Weaver; brothers-in-law, Greg Anderson and Kenneth Trotter; several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
Services will be held Monday, February 6, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. CST in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Pendergrass Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com. Arrangements are by Putnam-Reed Funeral Home, 1171 Main Street, Pikeville, TN. Visitation will be held Sunday, February 5, 2023 from 2:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. CST and Monday, February 6, 2023 from 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. CST.
