Obituary of Audrey Leberman

Audrey Lee Hein Leberman, 90, of Calhoun, Georgia, died Friday, December 2, 2022. She was born on August 15, 1932, in Collins, New York, to the late Frederick W. and Cecil L. Glass Hein. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce McGerald Leberman, in 1995; grandson, Ryan Bruce Oreto; son-in-law, Glen Shelton; mother-in-law, Marion Leberman.
Audrey was a resident of Morning Pointe Assisted Living for seven years and was a member of Calhoun First United Methodist Church.
She grew up in Hamburg, New York, where she graduated from Hamburg High School in 1950. Through the years, she enjoyed going back to her class reunions. After marriage in 1951, she and her husband relocated to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, in 1955 and resided there until retiring to Pikeville, Tennessee, in 1977. After the death of her husband, Audrey relocated to Calhoun, Georgia in 1999, where she enjoyed the remainder of her retirement years.
She spent most of her life as a homemaker and prior to her declining health, was active in her church and community in the cities she was residing in.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Mark (Sharon) Leberman; daughters and son-in-law, Sherry Shelton, Kris (Darrell) Monday, and Lisa Oreto; sister, Nancy Lederman; grandchildren, Laura (Tylon) Leberman Hudson, Jonathan Leberman, Scott (Jessica) Shelton, Amy Shelton, Adam (Kirsti) Monday, Christopher Oreto, and Ross Oreto; great-grandchildren, Lilly Shelton, Dylan Shelton, Emily Shelton, Kenzey Shelton, and Darson Monday; special friend, Johnny Housley; special cousin, Mabel Underberg.
The family will receive friends on Monday, December 5, 2022, from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home. The funeral will follow the visitation at 3:00 pm from the Chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Stacy Hensley officiating. Pallbearers are Jonathan Leberman, Adam Monday, Scott Shelton, Tylon Hudson, Darrell Monday, and Mark Leberman. The residents and staff of Morning Pointe Assisted Living, and Homespun Hospice will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Burial will be on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, at 12:00 Noon Eastern Standard Time at Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Pikeville, Tennessee.
