Barney Joe Pursley, age 92, of Ringgold, GA, formerly of Dunlap, TN passed away Thursday, December, 1 2022 at his home. He attended the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints. Barney was a Veteran of the Korean War and was a stone mason for over 42 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna F. Pursley; daughter, Connie Pursley Cribbs; several siblings.
He is survived by his three daughters, Katherine Pursley (Dale) Cross, Dunlap, Jill Pursley, Ringgold, GA, Marion Marx, Germany; son, Joseph Pursley, Vero Beach, FL; three step-daughters; one step-son; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday, December 5 at 1:00 pm CST in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Collier Cemetery with military honors provided by Sequatchie Valley Honor Guard. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com. Family will receive friends Sunday 1:00-8:00 pm CST.
