Obituary of Charles Nelson Keener

Nelson Keener, age 82, of Pikeville, TN, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, November 16, 2022.
He was a member of Pikeville Church of God. Nelson was very active in his church and taught Sunday school. He worked in cryogenics/ air separation for 40 years. He loved to travel, especially planning to travel, and loved spending time with his friends and family over a meal.
He was preceded in death by his parents, R.B. and Verna Keener; and brother, Bobby Keener.
He is survived by his sons, Stephen (Tara) Keener of Pikeville, TN and Michael (Madeline) Keener of Graysville, TN; grandchildren, Sara, Lane, Abigail and Noah; brothers, David (Nora) Keener of Ocala, FL and Paul (Belinda) Keener of McMinnville, TN; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday, November 21, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Bro. James Dunn and Bro. Leroy Forgey officiating. Burial will be in Charlie J. Angel Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com. Arrangements by Putnam-Reed Funeral Home, Pikeville, TN. Visitation will be held Sunday, November 20, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
