Richard Thomas, age 83, of Pikeville, TN died Sunday, November 6, 2022, at his home.
He was a member of Calvary Freewill Baptist. He enjoyed his work in all aspects of saw milling. He enjoyed sitting on the porch whittling and talking to friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Georgia Lee Thomas.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Barbara Thomas of Pikeville, TN; children, Kim Matthews of Pikeville, Khristie Thomas, of Soddy Daisy, Jeremiah Thomas of Pikeville and Sherry (Tony) Davis of Crossville, TN; grandchildren, Stephanie (Alex Smith) McMillen, Kaleb Loshbough and Cye Lockhart; and great-grandchildren, Bratcher and Bryce McMillen.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. CST in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Darvin Oakes and Bro. Adam Holloway officiating. Burial will be in Thomas Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at reedfamilyfh.com. Arrangements are by Putnam-Reed Funeral Home, 1171 Main Street, Pikeville, TN. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 from 4:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. CST.
