Vance Allen Brock, age 85, of Pikeville, TN, died Tuesday, September 6, 2022.
He was the former owner of Brock’s Pool Hall and Brock’s Sweeping. He served on the Pikeville City Council for many years and on the Bledsoe County Commission. He attended West End Church of God. He enjoyed football and basketball, but mostly enjoyed spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Cleo Brock; brothers, John Wesley Brock, Billy Brock, Clark Brock, Steve Brock and Tom Brock; sisters, Margaret Dunn and Martha Jane Johnson; and great-granddaughter, Jera Lewis.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Tena Brock of Pikeville; daughter, Debbie Brock of Pikeville; granddaughter, Iantha Mills of Pikeville; and two great-grandchildren, Abby Rose and J.C. Lewis; brother, Chester (Avis) Brock; sister, JoAnn Fox of Blountville, TN; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday, September 9, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. CDT in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Blackburn Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com. Arrangements by Putnam-Reed Funeral Home, Pikeville, TN. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 8, 2022, from 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. CDT and Friday, September 9, 2022 from 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. CDT.
