James Edward Shell, age 83, of Soddy Daisy, TN, passed away Monday, April 4, 2022 at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Arthur Shell and Mattie Irene Taylor Shell; brothers, John David (JD) Shell and Charles Shell.
He is survived by his wife, Velma Shell; children, Jimmy E. Shell, Dunlap, Rodney G. Shell, Dunlap, Paul B, Shell, Murfreesboro, and Kimberly E. Duplissey, Chattanooga; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; three sisters, Juanita Brock, Amy Pulliam, Gainsville, FL, and Dorothy Nunley, Tracy City.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 7 at 2:00 pm CDT in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Jack Daniel officiating. Burial will be in Condra Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com. Arrangements by Standefer-Reed Funeral Home, 50 May Road, Dunlap, TN. Family will receive friends Thursday 12:00-2:00 pm CDT.
