Obituary of Edna Marie Sapp

Marie Sapp, age 87, of Pikeville, TN, died Wednesday, February 23, 2022, at her home.
She was a faithful contributor to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital and many other worthy charities. She was a lifelong member of Griffith Church of Christ. Marie enjoyed sewing and traveling, and loved her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Clay “Jabber” Sapp; parents, Roy and Ova Lee Reece; brother, Arlis Reece; sisters, Jenelle DeBord, Geneva Anderson, Burma Brewer and Margaret Anderson.
She is survived by her children, Katherine (Kenny) Tate and Aster Houston Sapp, both of Pikeville; grandchildren, Tammy Sapp, Misty (Kelly) Thurman and Jason (Savannah) Tate; 12 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; sister, Erma (Clifford) Hale; brother, Gerald (Joann) Reece; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 27, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. CST in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in DeBord Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com. Arrangements by Putnam-Reed Funeral Home, Pikeville, TN. Visitation will be held Saturday, February 26, 2022 from 5:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. CST and Sunday, February 27, 2022 from 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. CST.
