Mavis Justine Ewton, age 88, of Pailo Community in Bledsoe County, passed away, Saturday, February 5, 2022 at her home. She was a member of Bethel church of Christ. She was a teacher's aide at Lusk School, worked at Stagg's Pharmacy, and the shirt factory. She also had many great memories at the Dunlap 5 and 10. Justine never met a stranger and loved everyone. She will be missed greatly by many. She was preceded in death by her husband, James "Buck" Ewton; parents, John and Celia Burch; sister, Louise Grant; brother, James Burch.
She is survived by her daughters, Diane Hayes (Steve), Susan Hixson, and Christy Boring (Michael); grandchildren, Amber Hixson Stephenson (Cleo), Amanda Hixson Fine, Brooklyn Boring (Brandon), Brett Boring (Victoria), Tyler Boring, Windy Newman (Terry); great-grandchildren, Jayden Alder, Braiden Alder, MJ Stephenson, Katy Fine, Shelby Newman, Colby Newman (Emily), and Corey Newman; great-great-grandchild, Alaina May Newman; brother, Johnny Burch (Claudine); several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday, February 7, at 1:00 pm CST in the funeral home chapel with Minister T.A. Smith officiating. Burial will be in Collier Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com. Arrangements by Standefer-Reed Funeral Home, 50 May Road, Dunlap, TN. No Visitation.
