Henry C. “Jabber” Sapp, age 90, of Pikeville, TN, died Thursday, February 3, 2022. He attended Griffith Church of Christ. He was known as the community veterinarian. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Carmack and Ovalee Sapp; brothers, W.C. Sapp, Edward “Bug” Sapp, Kenneth Sapp and Ben Sapp; and two infant sisters. He is survived by his wife, Edna Marie Sapp of Pikeville; children, Katherine (Kenny) Tate and Aster Houston Sapp, both of Pikeville; grandchildren, Tammy Sapp, Misty (Kelly) Thurman and Jason (Savannah) Tate; 12 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 6, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. CST in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in DeBord Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com. Arrangements by Putnam-Reed Funeral Home, Pikeville, TN. Visitation will be held Saturday, February 5, 2022 from 5:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. CST and Sunday, February 6, 2022 from 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. CST. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Putnam-Reed for burial expenses.
