Obituary of Billy Carroll Anderson

Bill Anderson, age 83, of Pikeville, TN, died Friday, January 28, 2022, at his home. He attended Summer City Baptist Church. He was a member and former assistant chief at Rigsby Volunteer Fire Department. He was employed at Combustion Engineering as an x-ray tech until he retired and was the manager of the county convenience center on Hwy 30 for 18 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Anderson; parents, Joseph and Dolly Anderson; siblings, Phyllis Hensley, Bobby Hancock, Wendell Anderson and Herbert Anderson. He is survived by his sister, Margaret (Bobby) Tucker of Lenoir City, TN; several nieces and nephews; caretakers, Robert and Annette Swafford and Kenny and Linda Rogers, and their daughters, who he thought of as his own; and a host of friends. Services will be held Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. CST in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Summer City Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com. Arrangements are by Putnam-Reed Funeral Home, 1171 Main Street, Pikeville, TN. Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 1, 2022 from 5:00 p.m.-8 :00 p.m. CST.
