Kenneth (Kenny) McCurry, Sr., age 59, of Whitwell, TN, passed away Friday, January 21, 2022 at Vanderbilt Hospital. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and uncle. Kenny loved old cars and riding motorcycles. He was retired from Tennessee Awning and Tent after 30 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl Edward and Sylvia McCurry; brother, Nelson McCurry, Sr.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Jenny McCurry; two sons, Kenny Dale (Ferris) McCurry, Jr and Kendall S. (Cindy) McCurry, all of Whitwell; four grandchildren, Jacob, Scarlett, Sage, and Preston; sisters, Gloria Tucker, Rossville, GA, and Charlotte Dill, Hixson; brothers, Richard (Patsy) McCurry, Whitwell, Eugene (Sheila) McCurry, Harrison, and Carl Edward McCurry, Jr, Cleveland; several nieces and nephews; close family friends, Dr. and Mrs. Sudhakar Reddy, and Corey Powell.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 26 at 2:00 pm CST in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Red Hill Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com. Arrangements by Reed Funeral Home, 11675 Hwy 28 Road, Whitwell, TN. Family will receive friends Tuesday 1:00-8:00 pm CST.
