Jeanette Rogers, age 50, of Pikeville, TN, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Friday January 21, 2022.
She was a 21 year member of Brockdell Church of God, where she was the pastor's wife for 18 of those years, served as the song leader, clerk and the women’s ministry leader. Jeanette blessed her church family with her beautiful southern gospel voice. She worked for the Bledsoe County School System in the cafeteria for 13 years and was currently the manager of the Bledsoe County Middle School Cafeteria. She was a certified chef and catered and decorated cakes for many events.
She was preceded in death by her father, Herbert Dodson, and mother-in-law, Ottie Rogers.
Survivors include her husband of 21 years, Rev. David Rogers, of Pikeville, TN. She and David were best friends and dated for 10 years before they married. Also surviving are her mother, Virginia Dodson, Spencer, TN; brother, Terry (Donna) Dodson, Spencer, TN; sister, Rebecca (Richard) Standefer, Crossville, TN; father-in-law, L.B. Rogers, Pikeville; brother-in-law, Bruce (Patricia) Rogers, Spencer, TN; several nieces and nephews; and best friend, Brooke Myers; furry babies, Pretty Girl and Tiger Boy; along with a host of other friends.
The celebration of Jeanette’s home going will be Wednesday, January 26th at 1:00pm CST in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Donnie Lawson, Rev. Doug Cunningham and Bishop Wayne Dority officiating. The burial will be in Hitchcox Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com. Arrangements by Putnam-Reed Funeral Home, Pikeville, TN. The family will receive friends Monday, January 24, 2022 from 12:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. CST, Tuesday, January 25 from 10:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m. CST and Wednesday, January 26 from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. CST.
