Margaret E. Payne Thurman, age 95, of Dayton, born and raised in Pikeville, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2021.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen E. (Gene) Thurman; her parents, James Thomas Payne and Della Mae Sweatt Payne, her sister, Myrtle Payne Whaley and brothers, Carl, Harmon, Jay Brown, Oliver and Raymond.
She is survived by her daughter, Farrell (Grady) Davis of Dayton, grand daughter, Jennifer (Todd) Smith and great grandson Jonah of Hixson, brother, John (Mae) Payne of Hermitage, several nieces and nephews that she dearly loved and her special niece, Arquilla Holder.
Graveside Services will be held Friday, October 22, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. CDT at Pikeville Cemetery with Bro. Steve Brown officiating. Burial will be in Pikeville Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com. Arrangements are by Putnam-Reed Funeral Home, 1171 Main Street, Pikeville, TN. Visitation will be held Friday, October 22, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. CDT.
