Obituary of David Russell Keiser

On September 30th, 2021, David Russell Keiser, age 72, of Whitwell, TN, in the comfort of his own home with his wife and daughter, passed away and received a brand new, pain-free body when he entered heaven to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Beloved husband and loving father, he will be missed by everyone who knew him – a career teacher, a talented musician – his humor and gentle ways were evident in all that he did. Dave was a member of the First Baptist Church in Dunlap, Tennessee, where he played his tuba in the orchestra. He was the band director at Whitwell High School and band and choir director at Sequatchie High School in Dunlap. Before that, he taught music at several different schools in Michigan, including Rochester Hills Christian School, and began his 44-year teaching career at Waldron in 2006. He and his wife and best friend, Cindy, celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary in August. They became first-time parents at age 60 to their beautiful, 10-year-old daughter, Chelsea Lynn Keiser. She was the love of his life. A memorial service will be held Thursday, October 14 at 5:30 pm CDT in the First Baptist Church Worship Center. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com.
