James Legg, age 74, of Pikeville, TN, died Monday, September 13, 2021.
He was a member of Pikeville Church of God and a United States Navy veteran. He was dedicated to his church and had a servant’s heart. He was a long-haul truck driver for 50 years. He loved to ride his motorcycle.
He was preceded in death by his son, Matthew Aaron Legg; parents, Henry and Sybil Legg; and sister, Dorothy Legg.
He is survived by his wife, Carol M. Legg; sons, Jonathan A. (Murphy) Legg of South Pittsburg, TN and Kenneth W. (Gloria) Legg of Memphis, TN; daughter, Kimberly (David) Cassanova of Belmont, NC; grandchildren, Arabelle Rose Legg and Tristan Matthew Legg; and sister, Shirley Burns.
Funeral services will be held Friday, September 17, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. CDT in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Hitchcox Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com. Arrangements are by Putnam-Reed Funeral Home, 1171 Main Street, Pikeville, TN. No visitation.
