Obituary of Onva William Henson

Onva W. “Sonny” Henson, age 81, of Pikeville, TN, died Saturday, August 28, 2021. He listened to Jimmy Swaggart Ministries. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Korean War. He loved to race cars and loved anything with four wheels. He was dedicated to his work and those he worked with. He was preceded in death by his son, Allen Henson; and parents, Pearlie and Ora Henson. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Judy Henson of Pikeville; daughter, Mary (Doyle) Lockhart of Pikeville; four grandchildren, Elizabeth Henson, Jasmine (Stuart) Hoover, Jessica Summers and Allen Summers; two great-grandchildren, Ezra Henson and Noah Summers; brother, Waymon (Peggy) Henson of Louisiana; sister, Billie Rose Henson of Louisiana; and nephew, Kevin Roberson. Graveside services will be held Thursday, September 2, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. CDT at John M. Hixson Cemetery with Rev. Bill Wolf officiating. Burial will be in John M. Hixson Cemetery.
