William “Boots” Capps, age 87, of Graysville, TN died Monday, June 7, 2021. He was a member of Brayton Baptist Church. He was a United States Army veteran serving during the Korean conflict. He also loved to fish. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Valerie Capps; and sister, Mildred Blackwell. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Jewell Capps of Graysville, TN; children, Peanut (Debbie) Capps of Graysville, Steve Capps, stepsons, Ronnie Sullivan of Dayton, TN and Barry Sullivan of Graysville, TN; step-daughter, Brenda (Jay) Goins of Dayton, TN; grandchildren, Melissa Capps, Keith Capps, Stevie Capps, Christopher Capps, Lynn Byrd, Justin Goins and Cindy Sullivan; great-grandchildren, MaKayla Campbell, MaKenle Campbell, Zoey Capps, Avah Capps, Kara Capps, Hunter Byrd, Hannah Byrd and Cassidy Newby; and one niece. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 10, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. CDT in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Leroy Smith officiating. Burial will be in Hickory Grove Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at reedfamilyfh.com. Arrangements are by Putnam-Reed Funeral Home, 1171 Main Street, Pikeville, TN. Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 9, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. CDT.
