Obituary of Hazel Marie Hamblin

Hazel Marie (Higdon) Hamblin, a lifelong resident of Whitwell, TN, died peacefully in her home on April 16, 2021 at the age of 85.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William “Duck” Hamblin; parents, Albert and Para Lee Higdon; brothers, Herbert “Red” Higdon and Hubert “Jack” Higdon; and sister, Dorothy “Dot” Caldwell.
She is survived by her children, Randy “Pete” (Dianne) Hamblin, Gary (Rhonda) Hamblin and Dianna “Susie” (Stephen) Morrison, all of Whitwell; five grandchildren, Zachary Hamblin, Tanner Morrison, Patrick Morrison, Lindsey Rollins and Dylan Hamblin; two great-grandchildren, Clairyn and Raylan Rollins; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Monday, May 3, 2021 at 1 p.m. CDT at Bryant Cemetery in Daus, TN. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com. Arrangements are by Reed Funeral Home, 11675 Hwy 28, Whitwell, TN. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of Chattanooga.
