Lola Belle Smith, age 100, of Pikeville, TN died Tuesday, March 30, 2021.
She was a faithful member of The Church of Christ at Griffith for over 50 years. She was a farmer along with her husband, Waymon, In Kansas and moved back to Pikeville in 1964 and raised livestock on their farm. Her greatest pleasures were flower gardening, fishing and traveling. She was one of the first cooks at Bledsoe County Hospital upon its opening.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Waymon Smith; parents, Monroe C. and Nancy Bickford; and eight brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her children, Margaret (Gilbert) McDaniel, Roger (Victoria) Smith and Jim Smith, all of Pikeville; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, May 15, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. CDT in the funeral home chapel. Online condolences can be made at reedfamilyfh.com. Arrangements are by Putnam-Reed Funeral Home, 1171 Main Street, Pikeville, TN. Visitation will be held Saturday, May 15, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. CDT. The family requests masks be worn during the visitation and service.
