Mary Louise Wallace McGowan, age 73 of Whitwell, TN went to be with the Lord surrounded by her family, on Thursday January 14, 2021, at her home. She was a Christian who loved and cherished her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Jerry McGowan; parents, Kenneth and Minnie Wallace; brother, William Leo Wallace.
She is survived by her sons, Kenneth (Sheila) McGowan, Decatur, TN, Mark (Kathy) McGowan, Jasper, TN, Matthew (Peggy) McGowan and Kriss (Rhonda) McGowan; daughter, Tracey (Ricky Kilgore) Miller all of Whitwell, TN; grandchildren, Allen Wright, Marilyn Davis, Rebecca (Aaron) Brummett, Brittany McGowan, Sarah (Erik Woodard) McGowan, Zachary Miller, Brandon (Susie Mosgrove) Miller, Kristin Miller, Katie (Seth Jones) Johnson, Shawn Johnson, Matt McGowan, Thomas McGowan, Alex Britton and Alyssa Gunner; great-grandchildren, Pacey and Katelyn Davis, Mason Wright, Aedan Brummett, Rowan McGowan, Braxton Miller, Owen Jones, Asher Brummett, Laylah Miller, Macey Wright and Colt Jones; Brothers, Dean, Mike, Jeff and Carl Wallace; sister, Shirley Swaney; several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Sunday, January 17, 2021 at 2:30 p.m. CST at Oak Grove Cemetery. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Arrangemnets are by Reed Funeral Home, 11675 Highway 28, Whitwell, TN. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com. The family will receive friends Saturday, January 16, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. CST.
