Lelia B. Johnson, age 98, of Pikeville, TN, died Sunday, January 3, 2021. She was a member of Mt. Vernon Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Johnson; son, James Johnson; granddaughter, Sonya Johnson; brother, Willard Bouldin; sister, Lucy Bouldin Groves; infant sister; and daughter-in-law, Martha Jane Johnson. She is survived by her daughters, Linda (Charles) Tolbert of Walling, TN and Connie (Daries) Powers, Rock Island, TN; sons, Joe (Lisa) Johnson, Pikeville, TN and Charlie (Pauline) Johnson, Pikeville, TN; 11 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 5 great great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Annette Myers; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the Life Care Center of Sparta for the care of Ms. Johnson and Stanley and Betty Songer and their family for all the food they carried to Ms. Johnson over the years. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 7, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. CST in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Kenneth Mansell officiating. Burial will be in Shockley Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com. Arrangements are by Putnam-Reed Funeral Home, 1171 Main Street, Pikeville, TN. Visitation will be held Thursday, January 7, 2021 from 12:00 p.m.-1:00 p.m. CST. The family requests visitors wear masks and follow COVID-19 guidelines.
