Obituary of Brian Wylie Williamson

Please share a memory of Brian to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Phil 4:13 All things are possible through Him who Strengthens me Pastor Brian Williamson was born in San Diego, CA. Brian grew up around San Diego, travelling the U.S. and Canada extensively each summer with his family. Every summer his family visited relatives, stayed at National Parks and camped with his parents, sister and brothers. During his junior year he travelled to Rotorua, New Zealand as an exchange student. He came back for his senior year, when he was injured while wrestling. Nerve damage caused him to lose the use of his left arm. He came to Jesus awaiting another of many surgeries. Nerve damage doesn’t heal, so he began praying, “God you made me, you can remake me.”. God answered his prayers giving him the use of his arm back seven years later and called him to the ministry. He moved to east Tennessee and became a United Methodist minister. Pastor Brian last served at Mount Crest United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, Karen Joyce Williamson (Frazier clan); two daughters Megan (Christopher) Goggans and Krystal Williamson; parents, Bob and Charlene Williamson; sister, Lori Chambliss (Larry); brothers, Scott (Debbie) Williamson and Ian (Rebecca) Williamson; brother-in-law, Tom (Marybeth) Welliver and numerous nephews and nieces. Memorial services will be held Saturday, January 2, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. CST in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Glenn Moseley officiating. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com. Arrangements are by Putnam-Reed Funeral Home, 1171 Main Street, Pikeville, TN. Visitation will be held Saturday, January 2, 2021 from 12:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. CST.
