Herbert Casto Dodson, age 74, of Spencer, TN, died Wednesday, November 18, 2020. He was born on February 10, 1946 to Arlis and Dollie (Cagle) Dodson. He attended Brockdell Church of God.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Laura Jean Neely, Flora Watson, and Tobytha Thompson; brothers, Charles Dodson, Floyd Dodson, James Dodson, Clyde Dodson, and Loyde Dodson.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Virginia Faye Tallent Dodson of Spencer, TN; Son, Terry (Donna) Dodson of Spencer; daughters, Rebecca (Richard) Standefer of Crossville, TN, and Jeanette (David) Rogers of Pikeville, TN; sisters Arlene Mooneyham and Winnie Jane Roberts, both of Spencer, TN; brothers, Billie Joe (Laura Faye) Dodson and Cecil Van Dodson, both of Spencer, TN; grandchildren, Desiree (Danielle) Dodson of Canada, Christa (Matthew) McCulley, Emily Standefer, Leann Standefer, and Jacob Standefer all of Crossville, TN; great-grandchildren, Bella Dodson, Jennifer Hunt, both of Canada, Isiah McCulley, Aaron McCulley, and Caleb McCulley, all of Crossville; and several nieces and nephews .
Services will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. CST at Mooneyham Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. David Rogers officiating. Burial will be in Myers Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com. Arrangements are by Putnam-Reed Funeral Home, 1171 Main Street, Pikeville, TN. Visitation will be Thursday, November 19, 2020 from 4:00 p.m.to 9:00 p.m. CST, Friday, November 20, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Saturday, November 21, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. all at Mooneyham Freewill Baptist Church. Family requests that masks be worn.
