Helen Akin, age 83, of Pikeville, TN, died, Thursday, November 5, 2020.
She was a member of First Southern Baptist Church. She retired from the Bledsoe County Board of Education as bookkeeper after 20 years and was previously employed by the FBI in Washington, D.C..
She was preceded in death by her husband, H.C. Akin.
She is survived by her children, Michael Akin of Crestview, FL, Kenneth Akin of Pikeville, TN, Steven Akin and Donald Akin, both of Crossville, TN and Tina Dishman of Rock Island, TN; 10 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Sunday, November 8, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. CST at Pikeville Cemetery. Burial will be in Pikeville Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com. Arrangements are by Putnam-Reed Funeral Home, 1171 Main Street, Pikeville, TN. No visitation. Memorial contributions may be made to Kids of the Community, P. O. Box 7142, McMinnville, TN 37111. The family requests masks be worn to the graveside service.
