Obituary of Phyllis Jane Cunningham

Phyllis Jane Cunningham, 95, passed peacefully at her home near Fall Creek Falls on October 20, 2020. She was a caring Christian mother, grandmother, great grandmother and generous friend. She was an avid gardener, excellent cook, and loved to play cards and games. Family gatherings were her greatest joy and all were welcomed at her table. She took in "strays" of all stripes and made them feel wanted and protected. She is preceded in death by her husband, Doyle Cunningham; her beloved children, Gerald Cunningham, John Cunningham, and Sandra Jane Cunningham; her father, Carl Corvin; mother, Ollie Tucker Corvin; step-mother, Floya Curtis Corvin; her brothers, Robert, Leon and Cecil Corvin; two sisters; and her cousin, Josephine (Joe) Oreto. She is survived by her daughters, Donna (Jeff Evans) Cunningham and Jo (Paul) Reside; her grandchildren, Heather Preston, Carl and Kevin Cunningham, Ryan (Jeeson) Cunningham, Nathan (Bercille) Cunningham, Jarrad (Rachel) Bedwell and Travis Bedwell; as well as her four great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and so many dear friends, including Lucy Beeson (FL), Daisy Shaw (Pikeville), and Charlene Huber (OH). A graveside service will be held Saturday, October 24, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. CDT at Wesley’s Chapel Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com.
