Obituary of Eddie Evans

James “Eddie” Evans, age 88, of Pikeville, TN, died, Friday, October 16,
2020 at Erlanger Medical Center.
He was a member of First Baptist Church. He was a 50+ year member of
St. Elmo 437 F & AM and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving during
the Korean War.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Kay Mitchell Evans; parents,
Robert Evans and Julia Griffith; sisters, Jewel Corvin, Virginia Fine
and Elicia Roberson; and brother, Gene Evans.
He is survived by his son, James B. (Robin) Evans of Olympia, WA;
daughter, Karen Parker of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; grandchildren, Ian
Handley, Josh Evans, Michael Evans and Hannah Evans; brother, Ray
(Virginia) Evans; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at Pikeville Cemetery, Monday, October
19, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. CDT with Bro. Albert Roberts officiating. Online
condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com. Arrangements are by
Putnam-Reed Funeral Home, 1171 Main Street, Pikeville, TN. Visitation
will be held from 2:00 p.m.- 5:00 p.m. CDT, Sunday, October 18, 2020.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Pikeville
Cemetery or St. Elmo Lodge.
