Obituary of Gary Wayne Schutt

Gary Wayne Schutt, Sr, 61, of Spring Hill, TN, passed away on September 26, 2020. Gary was born on, August 4, 1959, in Spring Hill, TN, to the late Herman Jacob Schutt, Jr, and Carolyn Joyce Hocker Schutt Carr. He moved from Spring Hill in the early 80's to the Sequatchie Valley where he settled and was blessed to start a family. He worked at Red Foods Grocery store in Dunlap for many years followed by several years as a housekeeper at the Bledsoe County Nursing Home in Pikeville, TN. Gary then returned to the Nashville area in the early 2000's where he resided until his death. Gary could be tough to get to know, and was a man of few words, but if you knew him, you could see his kind and playful soul. Gary is preceded in death by his parents Herman and Carolyn. Mother of his children; Genese Schutt of Pikeville, TN. Sister; Brenda Bowen. Nieces; Crystal, Ashley, and Tiffany Gibbs, all of Springhill, TN. Grandson; Peyton Schutt of Pikeville, TN. Gary is survived by brothers; Michael and Herman (Faye) Jacob Schutt III. Sister; Lisa Schutt, Nashville, TN. Son; Wayne (Sabrina) Schutt, South Carolina. Daughter; Kaitlyn (Ronnie) Schutt, Crossville, TN. Four grandchildren; Maddyn Schutt, Madison and Jacob Rudd, and Kaiden Shubert. As well as several nieces and nephews. Gary is also survived by long-time partner Ms. Sue Catherine Canon, and her son Charles Harris of Nashville, TN. No services are planned at this time.
