Obituary of James Gregory Turner

Rod Turner, age 67, of Dunlap, TN passed Thursday morning, August 20, 2020 at the Hospice Care Center in Chattanooga. He was a coal miner and worked and retired from Tennessee Consolidated Coal Company.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents; father, Buster Turner; wife, Emma Turner.
He is survived by two daughters, Stephanie (Brad) Creighton, Gruetli-Laager and Nicole (Austin) Cagle; step-daughter, Delvenua Vences, Dunlap; grandchildren, Colton and Haley Tate, Damian Brock, Monty and Hunter Cagle; great-granddaughter, Payton Tate; mother, Eloise Turner, Dunlap; sister, Royce Ann (Ronny) Bayless, Cleveland, TN; uncle, Joe Turner, Dunlap; several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held Monday, August 24, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. CDT at the Collier Cemetery with Minister T.A. Smith officiating. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com. Arrangements are by Standefer-Reed Funeral Home, 50 May Road, Dunlap, TN 37327. Family will receive friends Sunday 4:00-8:00 pm CDT.
