Obituary of Agnes Marie Jordan

Agnes Jordan, age 88, of Acworth, GA, TN, died Sunday, August 9, 2020. She was preceded in death by her husband, John C. Jordan; grandson, Peyton C. Schutt; and parents, Julian Malcolm and Rachel Haire. Agnes was a unique character in many ways, always welcoming animals and children, showing love to everybody and she was always there like all moms should be. Of course, she was a tough woman, ready to fight tooth and nail if she didn’t agree with you. Mom was ready to “go home” for three weeks asking daily when she was leaving. Agnes is finally home now. Rest in peace, mom, you will be missed. She is survived by her daughters, Linda Jordan of Atlanta, GA; Teresa Jordan of Hixson, TN; Nancy Jordan Moore of Atlanta, GA; son, Mike Jordan of Laverne, TN; six grandchildren, Amanda (Sean) Cullen, Ryan Turner, Weston Jordan, Alex (Bekki) Jordan, Ash Jordan and John Jordan; great-granddaughter, Briley Cullen; great-grandson, Holend Cullen; sister, Joyce (Tom) Holt; great-nephew, Royce Sexton; nephew, Jimmy Smith; numerous other nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at 12:00 p.m. CDT at Iron Hill Cemetery. The burial will be in Iron Hill Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at reedfamilyfh.com. Arrangements are by Putnam-Reed Funeral Home, 1171 Main Street, Pikeville, TN. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 11, 2020 from 4:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. CDT and Wednesday, August 12, 2020 from 10:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m. CDT.
