We're so sorry to learn of your loss, Evelyn. Your beloved Sam sure did love you! We knew him for many years, mostly through the motorcycle community; he and Rick had some fun times! And some sad .. I remember him playing AMAZING GRACE at Rod's funeral. What a wonderful tribute that was to our friend, Rod!
I wrote this some time ago but thought about it when i saw the notice of Sam's passing. Hope it comforts you some ...

REUNION
The emptiness no one can fill,
not even for a while . . .
but then, in time, God will step in
and touch you with a smile.
The pain you think you cannot bear
for even one more minute
but then God reaches out His hand
and takes your own pain in it.
The loneliness that gets so dark,
the brightest lights seem dim . . .
but then God turns your eyes away
and focuses on Him.
The hope that finally glimmers there
within your wounded soul
will grow until Eternity
again can make it whole.
The promise, then, of Heaven
is what will get you through . . .
the peace of knowing Sam’s
waiting there to be with you.
From my heart, lynda trimble
